COUNCIL OF ADMINISTRATION MEETING

JULY 22, 2007

State Commander Edward Pritchard called the Council of Administration to order in due form on July 22, 2007 at 0900 hours. Opening prayer led by State Jr. Vice Commander Jones, Pledge to flag led by Commander Pritchard. Quartermaster Travis Whaley introduced Attorney Chuck Gibbs and his partner, Casey Rideout, from their company R-G Ventures. Adjutant John Hancock – Roll Call of Officers – all present or excused. Commander Pritchard thanked all the instructors for the School of Instruction and thanked all of the Council members for being present. Adjutant Hancock asked if there were any general announcements. Quartermaster Whaley motioned to accept all of the Commander’s appointments, seconded by Dave Alvey, motion carried. Commander Pritchard called on Finance Committee Chairman Wayne Dial. Comrade Dial reported the Finance Committee did an audit on the VSO and VFW and found everything in order. Comrade Dial presented VSO budget to the Council, Tom Baltzell made a motion to accept with second by James Farley, motion passed. Comrade Dial moved into the VFW budget. After a full review by all the council, motion was made by George Fulkerson to accept, seconded by Larry Dean, motion passed. Commander Pritchard called on staff officers for their report. Motion by Travis Whaley for Commander, Adjutant and Quartermaster to use State cars as needed, seconded by Roland Day, motion passed. Motion by Wayne Dial to allow headquarters Adjutant and Quartermaster to approve fund raisers, seconded by Dave Alvey, motion passed. Motion by Dave Alvey to sponsor National Guard Association $1500 Platinum Sponsorship, seconded by Larry Dean, motion passed. Motion by Dave Alvey for one signature on checks, seconded by Jim Giles, motion passed. Motion by George Jones to give $100.00 bonus to janitor, seconded by Wayne Dial, motion passed. Motion by Roland Day that Charity income be split 50% membership, 25% building fund and 25% general fund, seconded by Tom Ferguson, motion passed. Motion by Roland Day for Gentleman’s Agreement to rotate Jr. Vice North and South, seconded by Dave Alvey, motion passed.
